Fourth of July Events
Dear North Landing Neighborhood,
It's that time of year when we would've been due to have our infamous July 4th celebratory bash (on July 1st), complete with Children's and Pets Parade, Bring a Dish to Pass luncheon.
But fear not.... there is still hope that we can still celebrate a wonderful day... we just need your help to make that happen.
We want to have the Children's and Pets Parade at 10:00 am and the "Bring a Dish to Share" luncheon from 2:00-4:00 pm.
And to top all that off, our board has made arrangements to have a live band, Blind Fate, performing from 4:00-8:00 pm.
This will all take place on Saturday, July 1st - there is no rain date for these events.
These events take time & organization though, so we will need volunteers to step up & help.
Please consider helping by contacting either:

July Fourth Update
Due to the condition of the lake and surrounding areas, we are planning to postpone the 4th of July celebration for a later date to celebrate completion of the lake and dam - we are looking at Labor Day Weekend instead.
Dam Update!
In case you missed the last Homeowners Association meeting, here is the latest happenings on the dam and lake:
Because of the weather and equipment and other projects, they are running about a month behind schedule. The broke through the concrete at the end of the spillway, but there were two layers (so more work than anticipated). The old pipe was filled and is no longer draining, and they will be digging to put in a new pipe soon. Dry soil is needed in the lake bed to build the new structure with the siphon - once complete the lake level will be about 9 feet (will go over from time to time). We are planning to move a dock to the mound toward the center of the lake, so that once the project is complete it will be farther out from the shore. We would love to make a track around the lake for running, but we would need to raise funds to make something like that happen in the future.
